Marvel's Legion Gets Series Order at FX, Promises New Riff on X-Men World
FX has officially ordered to series Legion, its first co-production with Marvel Television, it was announced on Tuesday.
Dan Stevens (Downton Abbey)
headlines the series as David Haller, a longtime diagnosed
schizophrenic who, after a strange encounter with a fellow patient, is
confronted with the possibility that the voices he hears and the visions
he sees might be real. Noah Hawley (Fargo) will serve as showrunner.
The Legion cast also includes Jeremie Harris (A Walk Among the Tombstones), Amber Midthunder (Hell or High Water), Katie Aselton (The League) and Bill Irwin (Interstellar). Production on the eight-episode Season 1 begins this summer in Vancouver, with an eye on an early 2017 premiere.
