Spider-Man: Homecoming (Set Photos)

Tom Holland Suits Up In Latest Spider-Man: Homecoming Set Photos

Last week, Marvel and Sony embarked on the journey that will come with filming Spider-Man: Homecoming and during the early stages of this process, we have seen a few set photos and continue to get casting announcements. With the movie set to film throughout Atlanta, with the majority shot at Pinewood Studios, there is a small window for set photos to continue to appear and now we have a new location. The previous batches of set photos have focused on Peter’s time at school and giving us looks at his teachers and classmates, but now we actually get to see him be Spider-Man once again.

The latest set photos in the gallery come courtesy of Looper and unlike the suit in the majority of the scenes in Captain America: Civil War, this time they are using a more practical suit that will surely be enhanced in different ways in post production. That said, as for the scene they are filming, a school bus was also spotted near set and with Peter wearing the backpack in a few shots, I’m guessing he had to suit up and stop this truck from having an accident. If that is the case, this is just another example of the friction that this double life will cause Peter. Plus, it’s just great to see Tom Holland in the suit in general and hopefully doing some great action sequences.

Thor: Ragnarok (Set Photos)

With production set to begin on the third Thor installment – Thor: Ragnarok – on July 4th, Marvel Studios is hard at work constructing the set on the Gold Coast. The folks over at the Daily Mail were able to obtain some photos of the set construction underway, and although far from done, the set pieces are rather impressive. As noted back in October, Marvel Studios is bringing the latest Thor film to Australia where it will film at various locations, including the Village Roadshow Studios. You can view a few photos of the recently constructed set pieces below

Doctor Strange (News)

Villainous Doctor Strange character revealed

Since Mads Mikkelsen was cast in Marvel’s Doctor Strange, the true identity of his character has been shrouded in mystery. There has been a lot of speculation and fan theory.

Now thanks to a line of Diamond Select Doctor Strange minimates that will be released. The figures confirm that Mikkelsen will be playing the villain Kaecilius and that Zara Pythian is playing a character named Zealot.

Kaecilius is a disciple of Baron Mordo (Chiwetel Ejiofor) in the comics before he becomes a villain fighting against the Sorcerer Supreme.

Mikkelsen previously said about his character:
“Not really a baddie, but someone who believes in something else than what Doctor Strange believes in.”

As for Zealot, the character was originally a male mutant character. In the film, the character is a woman. I’m not sure if this is the same character for the comics or someone completely new with the same name.

Black Panther (Rumors)

Ever since Marvel launched the Marvel Cinematic Universe, one of the most requested heroes was T’Challa, the prince and future king of Wakanda and heir to the Black Panther mantle. After a long wait, fans finally got to see him on the big screen earlier this year in Captain America: Civil WarChadwick Boseman was one of the standouts from the ensemble and made his upcoming solo film, Black Panther, a highly anticipated film for the majority of movie-goers.
Over the past month, the supporting cast surrounding Boseman has been filling out with both Michael B. Jordan and Lupita Nyong’o joining the film. As the gears up to start production early next year, the rest of the cast will start to come together. As has become typical for Marvel movies, filming at Pinewood Studios in Atlanta is a given for many of these and will be the same for Black Panther. Where else will it film? Well, a new report from Marvelous Realm says that the film will also be shooting in Chicago and Singapore. They also reiterate a previous report about Marvel wanting to film in Africa, but they have been told it will in fact happen.
We have to remember that this is a large and diverse country so the Chicago skyline, the bright lights of Singapore, or the range of locations in South Africa can all make up the highly unique and advanced look that Wakanda should have.

Movie News (Doctor Strange and Guardians of the Galaxy)

As Marvel Stuidos’ first Phase 3 film, Captain America: Civil War, continues its impressive box office run, attention is beginning to turn to what’s next. Doctor Strange will be in theaters in just over 4 months and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 just completed principal photography last week and will now go into post-production ahead of its release in May 2017.
The new synopsis adds some details for both Doctor Strange and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, but not much in the way of hints as to the film’s plot.

With both films set to have a presence at SDCC ’16, coming up July 21st-24th, and likely to show some type of footage, it’s possible that the veil may be pulled back just a little and shed some light on these mysterious upcoming offerings.

Spider-Man: Homecoming (Set Photos)

Less than a week after Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 2 officially wrapped, Marvel Studio’s next film, Spider-Man: Homecoming, has officially kicked off production. And surprisingly, we already have our first look at some of the cast members making their way to set. Courtesy of the folks over at Just Jared!, we have our first looks at Tom Holland (Peter Parker/Spider-Man), Zendaya, and Tony Revolori on set. (All of which can be viewed above.) As of right now, nothing has been officially revealed regarding just who Zendaya and Revolori are playing, although it’s been said Zendaya is playing “Michelle” and Revolori is said to be playing “Manuel” – again, none of this is confirmed at the moment.

While the photos don’t show anything too interesting, it’s still exciting to know that production is now underway. With that said, we can probably expect an official cast list/press release over the next week or two.

Captain America: Civil War (News)

With Captain America: Civil War having come and gone – and dominated the box office in the process – fans have been eagerly awaiting a release date for the Blu-Ray & DVD, wanting to know when they’ll be able to watch the film from the comfort of their own homes. Well, unfortunately, for most of us? We still have to wait a bit for an official release date. However, thanks to Amazon UK, we at least know that the film will hit Blu-Ray there on September 5th.

Guardians of the Galaxy (Set Video)

That's a wrap for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2! Director James Gunn posted a wrap video that he streamed live on Facebook yesterday in which he and Star-Lord actor Chris Pratt give heartfelt speeches to the crew of the film and praised them for how much they all kicked ass during the production. In case you missed it, you can watch it below. Gunn also posted this tweet announcing the film has completed shooting.

The video even confirms that they would be taking the film to San Diego Comic-Con with the cast and that they will be showing off some footage of the film for the fans, which is something we already knew was going to happen. I can't wait to get a glimpse of what's in store for us!

Guardians of the Galaxy (News)

It’s hard to believe now, but before Guardians of the Galaxy hit movie theaters back in 2014, fans were skeptical of a movie with a gun-toting raccoon and a walking tree that only had the capability to say the words “I am Groot”, and yet, when the movie premiered? Marvel seemed to have done the impossible. They made us care about these characters, especially Groot. So with the second film having wrapped production today, it’s not too surprising to hear from the folks at Variety that we can expect to see a huge push for the character when merchandise begins hitting the shelves for the highly anticipated sequel. In fact, Marvel will begin premiering products for the sequel for retailers this Monday.

Along with a giant push for Groot, it appears that Marvel and Disney have learned from their failure to push Gamora (and Nebula) during the first film, and we may actually see that problem corrected with this new merchandise line. While discussing what they have planned for the sequel’s line, Paul Gitter, senior VP of licensing for Marvel at Disney Consumer Products, mentioned how they are aiming to include kids, as well as male and female fans when it comes to the merchandise line for the sequel. Of course, this doesn’t confirm the inclusion of Gamora in more items, but it’s hard not to be hopeful and attempt to read between the lines here.

Marvel (News)

After skipping out on San Diego Comic Con last year, as it was a D23 year, Marvel Studios is set to make a return this year, and from the look of things, they’ll be bringing along plenty of goodies for fans. With Captain America: Civil War having hit theaters last month, it’s time for the studio to turn their attention to the next upcoming film: Doctor Strange. That film is set to hit movie theaters on November 4th, and while we’ve seen a teaser trailer, as well as a few official promotional photos from Marvel and Entertainment Weekly, much of the project has been cased in secrecy. So it was pretty exciting to see photos hit the internet this morning for the upcoming convention that featured Doctor Strange, and it was even more exciting to see director Scott Derrickson confirm that he’d be on hand to promote the film.

What’s more interesting, though, is that James Gunn has seemingly confirmed that’ll he also be on hand. This isn’t entirely surprising, after all, Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 2 is set to wrap production within the next week and a half. This would lead me to believe Marvel will show fans something during their Hall H presentation. After all, they’d already had footage to showcase just days into filming the first film when the cast took the stage back in 2013.

With it being rumored that Marvel is planning on announcing the actress they’ve cast for Captain Marvelwhich looks to be Brie Larson, unless talks have stalled – and the director during SDCC, it appears that this year’s Hall H presentation is set to be a big one!

Doctor Strange will hit movie theaters this November, while Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 2 will hit theaters next May.

Captain America: Civil War (Concept Art)

Alternative Black Panther Costume Designs Revealed In New Concept Art

With or without the costume, Black Panther proved himself to be a formidable and rather unique physical presence in Captain America: Civil War. But it was arguably the all-concealing monochrome outfit, complete with retractable claws and comic-faithful mask, that really brought the character to life on screen.
Now, character artist Jerad S. Marantz has lifted the lid on some alternative designs for Marvel’s up and coming headliner. They feature some really inspired detailing that, for one reason or another, didn’t make it past concept stage.
