Black Panther (News)

After his spectacular debut in Captain America: Civil War, we’re all pretty excited for the upcoming Black Panther solo film. In an interview with The Undefeated, executive producer Nate Moore spoke a bit about the film’s shooting locations. He mentioned that the majority of the film would be shot in Atlanta, like many of Marvel’s other recent films, including the recently released Captain America: Civil War. That said, they are looking into shooting some portions of the movie in Africa to add a more authentic feel to the film.
We’ll do our stage work in Atlanta. And we’re definitely investigating shooting in Africa … both Marvel and Ryan feel that would be really good for the movie. We just haven’t drilled down on it yet.
Black Panther been in the news quite a lot right now with several casting decisions in the past few weeks. Marvel is definitely leaning hard on a diverse cast for the film with amazing talents including Lupita Nyong’o and Michael B. Jordan joining Chadwick Boseman. With production set to kick off in early 2017, we can expect more casting announcements to hit over the next few months.

Black Panther is set to be released on February 2nd 2018
