So far, little is known about the upcoming Inhumans project from Marvel Television. Many theories range from a Game of Thrones-style storyline seeing both Baltagon brothers war for the position as king to a fish-out-of-water story, a theory that has become popular due to the recent behind-the-scenes pictures that were taken from Hawaii. A new synopsis of the show may offer some further hints as to what to expect from the upcoming 8-episode season:
After the Royal Family of Inhumans is splintered by a military coup, they barely escape to Hawaii where their surprising interactions with the lush world and humanity around them may prove to not only save them, but Earth itself.This synopsis offers an explanation on why we seem to see so many pictures of the various members of the Royal Family hanging out on Earth. It also explains why Black Bolt is wearing a suit rather than his famous costume (which we did see in some of the first set pieces). Interestingly, the synopsis makes it sound like the majority of the series will take place on Earth, not Attilan. Furthermore, it seems that instead of building up to Maximus’ coup d’etat against his brother, the show seems to start off with it right out of the gate.
