A rainy day in Atlanta provided us with our first look at the ongoing production of Marvel Studios’ Black Panther and among the cast members caught on set was Martin Freeman. Freeman portrayed Everett Ross, the Deputy Task Force Commander of the Joint Counter Terrorist Centre in Captain America: Civil War.
While it doesn’t appear the actors were filming at the time of the pictures, Freeman was seen outside of what looks to be one of many Resurgens buildings in the Atlanta area. The film’s star, Chadwick Boseman, was also there along with actresses Danai Gurira and Lupita Nyong’o, who are playing members of the Dora Milaje, the personal bodyguards of the Wakandan king.
The actors were reportedly filming a scene involving a meeting at the United Nations which may very well tie into the fact that T’Challa is harboring wanted criminals in Steve Rogers and Bucky Barnes. Freeman’s appearance in the film, while not surprising given his characters comic book history, indicates that the stinger from Captain America: Civil War may tie into the Black Panther film.
